Employee Dress Code
A technology company that had a formal dress code in place was converting to a corporate logo-wear dress code. The goal was to provide a centralized place where employees, from various offices, could use their budget to purchase apparel.
The key concerns for the client:
- Maintain branding guideline consistency
- No overhead or inventory
- High quality selection
- Easy to manage
In an effort to control branding guidelines and marketing budgets, a medical supplier consulted with iCoStore on the best way to implement a program. They wanted to allow managers to have control over their budgets, however, keep corporate control over how and what the logo was used for.
A major tool manufacturer wanted to encourage their existing customers to purchase directly from the corporate web store rather than calling-in orders to a customer service call center. The objective was to convert customers from habitual use of the call center for large and small orders, to habitual use of the web store.
A leader in the fast food industry wanted to implement an easy solution for awarding the prizes given at their regional corporate owned franchise leadership conference. In the past, they had spent vast resources in terms of time and money searching for products, hauling the products to each city (9 events), and then dealing with customer service issues related to each product.
iCoStore’s solution was to develop a centralized ordering and distribution system (web-store) with a variety of products in key price points. Each “winner” was awarded a company event branded gift card to redeem at the event branded website. The categories – 1st, 2nd, 3rd – were pre-populated with products for each appropriate level.
Award Winner – The award winners were happy to be given the choice of their prize. Our feedback indicated our product choices were a nice mix. This claim is substantiated by the fact that out of a possible 10 products in the first place category 7 different products were selected. The customer also sent out surveys about their event and a couple of questions were about the iCoStore system. The responses were overwhelming that they liked having a choice of awards; they wondered why it hadn’t been done in the past and wanted to know when the other events and divisions were going to adopt this system.
Employee Incentive Program
A full-service landscape company was looking for a way to manage the cash “spiffs” from various vendors. Not wanting to cut the employee perk, but needing to control the money coming into their company; iCoStore consulted with them and created a solution for every outside vendor to contribute to the centralized “spiff” program. The vendor determines the number of “points” (dollars) they will pay per item on sale and at the end of each month the “points” are awarded to each sales person accordingly. Each sales person can accumulate points from multiple vendors and purchase whatever item they want from the corporate branded web store. Items include electronics, fitness, apparel, home and garden products.
After seeing the response from the employees, the company added their safety awards dollars as well as their incentives for continuing education and other internal program budgets into this centralized program. This now incorporates all of their incentive efforts into one system so employees can earn more dollars towards the products that they want and they are able to earn points quickly which has kept them motivated.
The company is has also experienced increased cash flow by having vendors “buy” into the program. iCoStore bills the company once a product is redeemed, so unlike cash that is gone as soon as it is awarded, points can accumulate and the company is able to earn interest on the money that is allocated to the rewards program. Also, when an employee is no longer with the company, the rewards dollars have never been spent.
We also provide 1099 reports to the customer at the end of each month, so they have accurate records and can pull the taxes out of the employees check.
